The former personal attorney for Donald Trump has resigned as the US Attorney for New Jersey. This comes after a court battle that questioned her eligibility to serve.
Official Departure
US Attorney General, the Attorney General, announced Habba's resignation on Monday. In a statement that the appeals court finding made it unworkable for her to effectively run her office.
"Let no one confuse following the order as giving up," Habba stated. "My fight will now stretch across America."

The departure comes a week after a federal appellate panel ruled that she had been unlawfully serving as the federal prosecutor. This decision is expected to impact many prosecutions in the Garden State.
