Missing key players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a comfortable result that virtually guarantees them a place in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
A further victory in their upcoming fixture against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure direct passage to the last 16, especially after a prior stumble against Strasbourg.

This occasion offered a chance for several Palace's fringe players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, finding the net for the second consecutive match.

Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring with his very first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise positive night for the traveling side.
